As you might be aware, the current iteration of the Brezza is the second generation, while the first generation was the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza. The indigenous carmaker dropped the “Vitara” moniker from the Brezza after introducing the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara. These two vehicles, however, are among the bestselling Maruti Suzuki cars in the country.
At the same time, the indigenous carmaker carried over the same platform for the second-generation Brezza but with major revamps. Being a new generation, you can expect major upgrades from the new Maruti Suzuki Brezza. The new iteration was launched in India on 30th June 2022.
So, if you plan to buy this vehicle, below are a few things you should keep in mind.
Specifications
For starters, you should know that the Maruti Suzuki Brezza is based on the Suzuki Global C platform that also underpins the S-Cross and the new Grand Vitara. Moreover, the engine offered on this car consists of a mild hybrid technology. It is the K15C Smart Hybrid engine. As for the figures, the 1.5-litre K15C Smart Hybrid, four-cylinder, naturally-aspirated petrol engine is tuned to churn out 102 bhp at 6000 rpm and 136.8 Nm of peak torque at 4400 rpm. This engine can either be had with a six-speed manual or a six-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
For better fuel efficiency, customers can also choose the CNG version. The factor-fitted CNG kit is coupled with the same K15C Smart Hybrid engine but delivers a low engine output. It churns out 87 bhp at 5500 rpm and 121.5 Nm of peak torque at 4200 rpm. You can check out the Brezza CNG price. The CNG iteration is exclusively available with a five-speed manual transmission.
Now, let’s jump to the main bit: fuel efficiency. As for the petrol version, the manual version returns a mileage of 17.38 km/l, while the automatic version returns a mileage of 19.8 km/l. On the other hand, the CNG version has a mileage of 25.51 km/kg. Please note that these are ARAI-certified mileage figures. The real-world mileage figure can vary with various factors, such as the engine and transmission combination, individuals’ driving styles and local traffic conditions.

This setup can soak the undulations and bumps from potholes with ease.
