In other news related to this, Jagex recently trademarked Eldergate although it's unclear what this IP could be referring to. It's certainly supposed as "video gaming software" that's some kind of thing however, it's also possible that Jagex is currently developing a brand new, non-Runescape development of OSRS gold behind the scenes.
