The indigenous bikemaker Bajaj Motors introduced the first iteration of the Bajaj P150. In general, the Bajaj Pulsar 150 is one of the bestselling Bajaj bikes in the country. Post its launch, the Bajaj P150 takes on the likes of the Yamaha FZ, the TVS Apache RTR 160, and the Honda Unicorn, to name a few. Moreover, you can even consider the standard Pulsar 150 as a rival. If you want to know more about this bike, then below are the details that you should know:

Specifications

The Bajaj Pulsar P150 is a sportier iteration of the standard Pulsar 150, at least in terms of looks. Moreover, they both have the same engine, but the P150 is slightly more powerful. Under the P150's chassis, there is a 149.68cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that generates 14.29 bhp at 8500 rpm and 13.6 Nm at 6000 rpm. It makes the rear wheel spin via a five-speed manual transmission. On the other hand, the Bajaj Pulsar 150 also has the same engine but less power than the P150. Because the P150 has more horsepower, the Bajaj Pulsar 150 will be more expensive. But this pattern doesn't usually apply to all bikes. You can check the Bajaj Pulsar 150's price on the autoX website.

But, moving on, the Bajaj Pulsar 150 has a 149.50cc air-cooled engine, which churns out 14.1 bhp and 13.79 Nm of torque. This petrol engine also has a five-speed manual transmission.

As for the fuel economy, there is no update on the P150's mileage, but the standard Bajaj Pulsar 150's mileage is 47.5 km/l. It is worth noting that that was the average city mileage reported by the owners across India. That said, the P150's mileage might be around 45 km/l. Moreover, the P150's fuel tank capacity is 14 litres, while the Pulsar 150's has a capacity of 15 litres.

Otherwise, the 150cc from the Pulsar series is among the most fuel-efficient bikes on the 150cc bandwagon. In addition, you can also go through the spec comparison of the Bajaj Pulsar N160 vs P150 on the autoX website.

Features

The Bajaj P150 has a respectable number of new-age features. First things first, don't expect a fully digital instrument cluster. It has a semi-digital layout. The speedometer and odometer are digitally displayed. In addition, there is also a digital clock and gearshift light.

At the same time, the tachometer has an analogue screen. This bike should also offer a USB charging port, which it does, and automatic headlights, which are present. Furthermore, it has an electric start type as standard across the variants. There is also a fuel gauge with a low-fuel indicator. Then there is a standard kill switch.

The bike also offers single-seat and twin-seat layouts. The latter belongs to the dual-disc variant, while the former belongs to the single-disc variant.

Apart from that, the Pulsar P150 gets a standard LED lighting setup.

But overall, this bike sports basic new-age features. But if you are a feature-oriented buyer, you can also consider the Avenger Street 160 or the Bajaj Pulsar N160. There is a marginal difference between their prices.

Appearance

As stated earlier, the Bajaj Pulsar P150 is a sportier iteration of the standard Pulsar 150. Due to this, it ticks the boxes of what a naked bike should look like. The Bajaj bikes has taken the Pulsar NS250's design cues as inspiration for the P150.

As for the front fascia, the first thing that would catch your eye is the single-pod LED headlight with DRL, followed by a tinted visor. Design highlights include 3D Pulsar badges, an engine cowl, an underbelly exhaust, fuel tank shrouds, a filmed visor, etc. Then the rear end boasts split LED lights.

The only way to identify the Bajaj P150 is by looking at the headlight. Its headlight is sleeker than the bulged-out-like headlight of the Pulsar 150.

Suspension and Brakes

As far as the suspension setup is concerned, the Bajaj Pulsar P150 rides on 41mm front telescopic forks with a monoshock at the rear. The Pulsar 150, on the other hand, has front telescopic forks and twin shock absorbers at the rear.

Moving on, the base model of the P150 gets a disc-drum layout, while the top model gets dual-disc brakes.

That said, the base model has single-channel ABS, while the top model has dual-channel ABS.

Prices and Variants

As mentioned earlier, the indigenous bike manufacturer offers this 150cc bike in two variants: single disc and dual disc. The former has a single-seat layout, while the latter has split seats.

The Pulsar P150's price starts at Rs 1.17 lakh and goes up to Rs 1.20 lakh. These are ex-showroom prices, New Delhi. You can also consider a Bajaj cruiser bike, the Bajaj Avenger 160, which sits below the Pulsar P150.

On the autoX website, you can also look at other bikes in India that cost less than Rs 1.5 lakh.
