Diablo 4 Season 15 has given players an unusual collection to hunt down: the Bovine Armor Set. This five-piece cosmetic outfit is hidden behind several strange activities, from confronting suspicious cow-themed enemies to exploring Old Tristram and fishing on a secret island. Each piece has its own acquisition method, so completing the collection requires more than simply defeating one boss. Whether you are exploring Sanctuary for cosmetics or taking a break from farming Diablo 4 Gold, this guide covers how to obtain all five pieces, including the easily overlooked gloves.
1. Head of the Bovine – Complete the Nut Encounter
The Head of the Bovine comes from the Complete Nut encounter in the Diablo Hellfire – Outskirts of Tristram Waking Nightmare.
To find it, explore the open world and watch for a randomly appearing portal. You do not need to be inside a Helltide for this portal to spawn.
Once inside, look for a suspicious man wearing a cow costume.
• Speak to the suspicious man repeatedly.
• Continue the conversation until his disguise falls apart.
• Defeat the hostile cows that appear.
• Talk to him again after the fight to complete the encounter.
The Head of the Bovine is among the rewards. Since the portal appears randomly, it is worth keeping an eye out while completing other seasonal activities.
2. Brisket of the Bovine – Defeat Moophisto
For the chest appearance, head to the Bovine Sanctum and challenge Moophisto, the Divine Bovine.
Unlike some other pieces in this collection, the Brisket of the Bovine is not guaranteed after one kill. You may need to defeat Moophisto multiple times before obtaining it.
A practical approach is to include this boss in your regular farming routine. If you are preparing your character for repeated encounters, buy Diablo 4 Gold can also help you prepare for other in-game expenses without making the cosmetic hunt itself any less interesting.
3. Foreshanks of the Bovine – Pet a Hidden Cow
The Foreshanks of the Bovine are particularly interesting because they do not require a boss fight. Instead, players can obtain the gloves by petting a cow behind the Cathedral in Old Tristram.
However, reaching this location requires completing a few earlier steps:
• Find all ten hidden journals belonging to Deckard Cain around Sanctuary.
• Complete Deckard's Journey.
• Enter Deckard's Memory through the Imperial Library.
• Travel through the memory until you reach Old Tristram.
• Head north toward the Cathedral and walk behind the building.
• Interact with the cow to obtain the Foreshanks of the Bovine.
It is an unusual reward, but that is exactly what makes this piece memorable.
4. Sirloin of the Bovine – Defeat the Cow King
The Sirloin of the Bovine comes from the Cow King, who resides inside the Secret Cow Level.
After unlocking access to this hidden area, locate the Cow King and defeat him to pursue the leg cosmetic.
This encounter is an important part of the collection, but remember that defeating the Cow King does not automatically complete the entire outfit. The remaining appearances must be obtained through their respective activities.
5. Hooves of the Bovine – Go Fishing on Cow Island
The final piece, Hooves of the Bovine, requires a different approach.
While inside the Secret Cow Level, use the Leave Dungeon action to reach the hidden cow island. From there, follow these steps:
• Travel toward the southern dock.
• Find the fishing spot.
• Start fishing and keep casting.
• Continue until you obtain Hooves of the Bovine.
Unlike the Cow King encounter, this final step is more about patience than combat. Make sure you spend enough time fishing rather than leaving the island too early.
